The case in three points
The problem
A homemade Wix site that had grown a page at a time: on a phone it was not clear what Andy offers, and the quote at the top of his home page could not be seen.
What William changed
Sixteen pages that tell one story, from the problem to booking a call, with the peer-mentor disclaimer and crisis numbers built in.
Delivery
Launched on his own domain on 28 September 2026, checked at twelve screen sizes, with all eleven old Wix addresses sent to new pages.
In their words

“Prior to working with Will, our website was very basic. It was a homemade Wix website, and Will has come in and completely redeveloped our website and our brand, and has been extremely professional, been in regular contact and delivered exactly what we asked him. Fantastic website. Thanks, Will.”
“It was very clear that he understood our brief, and he used his design skills to advise on the layout and the structure, making sure that we had a call to action on every section.”

“Working with Will for our website design has been absolutely fantastic. It was very clear that he understood our brief, and he used his design skills to advise on the layout and the structure, making sure that we had a call to action on every section. He set out clear timelines for completion, and he always delivered ahead of these. Wherever we had some feedback, he took it well, and he made the changes quickly, giving advice where it was necessary. We were very happy with our professional-looking website, and it really sets the tone for the future of our business.”

The problem, and the fix
What Andy had
- A Wix site with eleven live pages and twelve items in the menu. In his recorded review he calls it “very basic”.
- A head teacher on a phone could not tell in five seconds what Andy does, who for, or what it costs.
- A Blog link in the main menu that led to a missing page.
- A clothing shop with sixteen products, below the fold on a home page also trying to introduce Andy, explain ADHD science and sell four services.
- On phones, the quote at the top of the home page was white on white. Nobody had reported it because nobody could see it.
What launched
- Sixteen pages that follow one story: understand the problem, see the services, meet the person, read the evidence, book a call.
- Four services, priced, each with its own route to the same enquiry form.
- The line that Andy is a peer mentor, not a clinician, in seventeen places, word for word. Crisis numbers on every page.
- Before any update goes live, the site is checked for three words that must never appear on it: therapist, counselling and guarantee.
- The home page quote is easy to read on a phone. Every page was checked at twelve screen sizes, from a small phone to a wide desktop, with no sideways scrolling and every button big enough to tap.
- All eleven old Wix addresses listed by search engines now lead to a new page, so saved links still work. Three are temporary until Andy decides what happens to those pages.
What the client received
- Sixteen pages designed and written from Andy’s own documents and recordings, then built and launched
- Safeguarding built in: the disclaimer, crisis numbers, the age limit on the addiction talk wherever it is listed, and DBS and insurance details on request
- A launch check at twelve screen sizes that turned “you can see the problems” into a list, and found three problems nobody had reported
- An enquiry form that goes straight to Andy’s inbox, so a reply reaches the enquirer directly, with spam filtered out without a puzzle to solve, and enquiries handled inside the UK and EEA
- The domain moved away from Wix and secured, with all eleven old addresses sent to new pages
- A faster form service turned down, because it kept data outside the UK and EEA and would have made the privacy policy untrue

Speaking and peer mentoring · London
A speaker and ADHD peer mentor with a homemade Wix site that had grown a page at a time. Rebuilt as sixteen pages on one narrative spine, with a safeguarding layer that is not decoration, and every fix in the final pass measured rather than eyeballed. Launched on 28 September 2026, so there are no traffic figures yet. Everything here is measured, not projected.

The technical detail
- Built as a hand-written static site
- The old site’s /blog-posts link in the main navigation returned a 404
- Hero quote contrast taken from 1:1 to 15.6:1. No horizontal overflow and no tap target under 44px at any of twelve widths from 360 to 1920px.
- One selector specificity collision found and fixed that had silently reset nine text styles to body copy
- A pre-release scan for the three words the site must never use, required to return zero matches
- Enquiry form: the enquirer is set as reply-to, spam is gated without a CAPTCHA, and processing stays inside the UK and EEA
- Domain released from Wix, certificate issued, and a redirect map for all eleven indexed addresses, three of them deliberately temporary
